Our Bursary Programme

"It is a joy to watch my daughter becoming more confident and achieving results that reflect her capability. Her time at Tudor is creating a new world of possibilities for her."
Mother of current full bursary recipient.

According to the Independent Schools Council (ISC) 2019 annual census, £422 million was provided in means-tested fee assistance for pupils at ISC schools, with nearly half of all bursary recipients having more than 50% of their fees remitted. We are proud at Tudor to report that last year (2019/20) our bursary programme supported forty-seven girls, seventeen of whom received full (100%) bursaries. This is a major commitment on the part of the School with Bursary provision last year totaling £965,160 largely financed from unrestricted funds.

“We are fortunate to be able to offer bursary places to a number of able girls each year, whose family circumstances would otherwise prevent them accessing an independent education. Watching these girls progress through Tudor and beyond, benefitting from all that the School has to offer, is one of the great privileges of my role.” Wendy Griffiths, Headmistress.

At Tudor Hall we aim to ensure that financial constraints are never a barrier to prospective students and that all successful applicants to the school are able to take up their place irrespective of means. The School currently awards means-tested bursaries and other concessions ranging from 10% - 100% of annual fees together with additional support for essential extras for those receiving 100% bursaries.

We believe that a great education is transformative and that by investing in the girls, we are, in a much broader sense, investing in the future.
